Candidates that have a graduation degree in professional course of MBBS must be anxiously waiting for the big news this year about NEET. A single common entrance test for admissions to all post graduate level medical colleges offering MD/MS/PG diploma courses will be held this year. Replacing the All India Post Graduation Medical Entrance Exam (AIPGMEE), this year is the NEET or the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. The first thing that all the applicants of this year seeking admissions to post graduate courses in medicine and dental surgery should know is that NEET has replaced all the examinations and will be a national level ranking-cum-merit examination for admissions to the various government, aided and non-aided colleges in the nation. It will be the sole criteria for selection to MD/MS/MDS/PG diploma other than the AIIMS and PGIMER examinations. No other state or national level examination will be valid from the year 2016.

NEET (PG) Admission 2017

The computer-based test for NEET-PG will be held across 41 major cities where examination centers will be prepared with utmost care and strictness to ensure no unfair play. NEET MD/MS and NEET MDS will be held separately with dental students appearing for their examinations from 30th November- 3rd December and the Medical Students appearing from 5th December to 13th December. This examination will be held for admissions to various PG/MD/MS courses under the Section 10 of Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

Eligibility Standards:

MD/MS/PG Diploma: to fill the forms candidates must qualify the educational norms set by the conducting board. They must have passed a MBBS professional degree from a medical college that is recognized by the Indian Medical Council and must have a provisional or permanent registration under the state and national council of medical sciences. Candidates currently doing their internship from recognized medical colleges must ensure that their internship ends on or before 31st March 2017

MDS: candidates who have completed BDS degree from recognized colleges under the Indian Dental council with a provisional or permanent registration under the state/national council are eligible to apply. Internship students must ensure their internship ends on or before 31st March 2016.

NEET MD, MS Admission 2017

For students appearing under MD/MS/Pg Diploma the examination will be a computer based multiple choice question paper held in 41 cities on various dates between 5th and 13th December 2016. 300 questions will be asked from medical subjects of graduation level. For MDS students the objective type paper held between 30th November to 3rd December will be asked under dental subjects of graduation level. 240 questions will be featured in MDS paper. Although it is not certain the examination will not have negative marking according to rumors.

  5. Fill in your crucial information followed by the education details.
  6. Upload your passport size photograph, signature, and left thumb print scanned copies.
  7. Complete the fee submission and select your examination center and date.
  8. Complete submission and save a print of the final form for use later.
  9. Save your registration ID and password for use later.
