Eligibility criteria:

  1. A candidate who is appearing in 2016 for class 5th level examinations will be eligible to apply to the RGNV of their same district.
  2. Age limit to apply for the examination is minimum age of 9 years and maximum of 13 years as on 1st April, 2017
  3. The class 5th of the student must be done under the State/Central government schools recognized by the education boards.

Selection process:

The candidates will be shortlisted based on their marks in the entrance examination. A cut off for all categories will be declared by the authorities and the students that qualify the same will be called for seat allotment process.

RGMV 2016 6th Class admissions 2017-18 examination pattern and syllabus

The entrance examination for the admissions to the 2017-18 batches of class 6th in Uttarkhand will be held for a time duration of two hours. During the examination the students will be tested on their basic knowledge of their 5th level mathematics, language, and mental ability. 25 questions will be asked from mathematics and language sections each and 50 questions will be from mental ability section. the total questions therefore are 100, and there is also no negative marking in this paper. Each question carries a single mark making the maximum attainable marks 100. 50% seats of all the RGMVs in all districts are reserved for girl students.
