Every now and then PM, Narendra Modi comes up with various types of schemes and yojanas to help out the needy. Mr. Modi has announced much social inclusion and financial benefits for the people of every sector, no matter the person is a farmer, a businessman, home buyers etc. PM has also taken many of the steps to improve the standards of women of the country and brings an equality among both men and women. So he released Pregnancy Aid Scheme. He has also taken major steps for the safety and improved livelihood of the women of our country.

Many of us must not be aware that in our country there are many people who disrespect women and one more ugly truth of our country is that it has the highest maternal mortality across the world. As per the previous records, it came in front that in 2015, the Maternal Mortality rate is 174 deaths for every 100,00 births. These numbers do not sound too big but it comparatively too high as to various other countries of the world. This rate is not counted as the death of newly born children but this Maternal Mortality rate is the number of deaths of the women at the time of giving birth to a child or during the pregnancy period.

The deaths of a woman during pregnancy period or at the time of giving birth to a child is caused due to several reasons. Most of these deaths occur due to poor physical conditions, stress caused by pregnancy and due to the improper management at the time of pregnancy. There are many more reasons also of these deaths of pregnant women. Keeping all these things in mind and to reduce this Maternal Mortality rate in our country, the PM Narendra Modi has announced to give a financial help to the pregnant women of the country.

This new scheme is to be known as the Pregnancy Aid Scheme. The PM is launching this scheme to give a financial assistance to the pregnant women in the country. Through his point of view, the MMR rate will reduce due to this financial assistance and the women will also get a good medical treatment at the time of pregnancy. The key points of this scheme are as follows.

Pregnancy Aid Scheme Benefits

  •   – an amount of Rs. 6000 will be given to every pregnant woman of the selected districts in India.
  •   – overall 650 districts will be covered under this Pregnancy Aid Scheme.
  •   – the amount of money will be given to the beneficiary for the expenses related to the pregnancy such as expenses of admission in hospitals, vaccination, purchase of nutrition etc.
  •   – under this Pregnancy Aid Scheme, the pregnant women will be served with the nutritional food that women need during the pregnancy period.
  •   – the money under this scheme will be directly injected to the bank account of the pregnant women.

Pregnancy Aid Scheme How To Apply

This is again a major step headed forward by our PM in regards to the women of our country. The Pregnancy Aid Scheme will be started soon and for a trial purpose, 53 districts are selected and Rs. 4000 will be given to the beneficiary, as the financial aid. When this trial will be successfully then the scheme will be implemented in 650 districts of the country.
