This formation of the council was an amalgamation of seven different center government institutions into one. The NCERT plays a crucial role in instructing the center and state government schools in the educational pattern and curriculum for each level in education. The current director of the Council, Dr. Hrushikesh Senapathy took the office in September 2015. The institution also has a department where it prints books for curriculum from Class 1 to 12. The department conducts examinations for recruiting staff members at various posts in the different departments that operate under it.

The department recently held an examination to recruit candidates at the post of Lower Division Clerk (LDC) when thousands of applicants came to the various examination centers set up in multiple cities across the nation to sit for the paper. The examination was for 150 total marks and was composed of three different sections. The general knowledge section of the paper was for 50 marks and was set up as an objective type section just like the General English section. the third section was a descriptive section to test the candidate’s Written Expression in chosen language Hindi or English and held 50 marks. The candidates that qualify the written test will then be called in to appear in the skill test where their typing skills will be tested. The basic requirements are that the candidates should be able to type 35 words per minute in English and 30 for Hindi. The final selections of the candidates will be based on the ultimate qualification of the candidate in the typing test. A candidate who does not clear the skill test will not be considered for the final selection. Now the waiting candidates will be able to check their results on the web portal of NCERT under the recruitments section. to do so you just have to follow some very basic steps that we have outlined here for you.
